Sunday afternoons

Come ready to worship

Four o’clock leaves the morning free, so you can come to worship unhurried rather than rushing through the door. The doors open at 3:30 PM: come early if you can, prepare your heart, and let someone pray with you before we begin.

The Order of the Day

What happens, and when

So that nothing on Sunday is a surprise.

  1. From 3:30 PM

The doors open half an hour before we begin. Come ready to worship: this is time to pray, to prepare your heart, and to let someone pray with you before the service starts.

  2. 4:00 PM — Worship

The church gathers to worship Jesus Christ and to honour God in praise, in English, Punjabi and Hindi together. Join us freely in worship as we seek God as one people.

  3. The Word

We open God’s Word together. Around half an hour of biblical teaching that calls us to know Christ, grow in faith and live according to His truth.

  4. Prayer

We come before God in prayer — seeking His presence, trusting Him with our lives and praying for one another. We lay hands on those who ask.

Coming with children

Bring them with you

Children are welcome in the service, and there is a space for them during the Sunday gathering where they are taught God’s Word, cared for and prayed over.

We are raising the next generation to know Christ, and they are part of the church now. This is a church full of families and it sounds like one — which is exactly as it should be.

Young voices are welcome here too.

Questions

Before your first Sunday

When should I arrive?
Worship begins at 4:00 PM every Sunday, and the doors open at 3:30 PM. Those first thirty minutes are not waiting time — they are for prayer and for preparing to meet with God. Come early if you can.
What should I wear?
Dress modestly and comfortably, as you would for any house of worship. On any given Sunday you will see saris and salwar kameez beside jeans and jandals and the occasional suit. Come as one who is coming to worship God, and you will be at home here.
Where do I park?
There is free parking on site, so you can arrive unhurried rather than circling for a space. Give yourself those few extra minutes — walking in settled is worth more than arriving on time.
What happens with my children?
Your children are part of the church, not an interruption to it. They are welcome in the service, and there is a space for them during the Sunday gathering where they are taught God’s Word, cared for and prayed over. This is a church full of families and it sounds like it — that is a good thing.
How will I be welcomed?
Someone from our welcome team will greet you at the door and help you find your way. You are here to worship God alongside the church, and you are free to join in as fully as you wish. If you would like prayer, or would like to speak with one of the pastors, you only have to ask.
What language is the service in?
English, Punjabi and Hindi — we move between all three right through the service, so the whole church can worship and receive the Word together. If English is the only language you speak, you will still follow everything that matters.
