When the church gathers

Why we gather

Sunday is when the church gathers to worship Jesus Christ, hear God’s Word and pray together, seeking His presence. It is where our faith is renewed and we are built up as His people.

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together.” Hebrews 10:24–25

Three things happen

Worship, the Word and prayer

Every Sunday is built on the same three things. They are not a programme — they are what the church has done since the beginning, whenever it comes together.

Worship

We begin by worshipping God. The whole room sings, in English, Punjabi and Hindi. Worship here is not a warm-up for the message and not a performance to watch — it is the church giving God what belongs to Him, out loud and together.

“Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.” Psalm 95:6

The Word

Then the Bible is opened. Around half an hour, read and preached — plainly enough for a new believer to follow, and honestly enough that it asks something of us. The teaching moves between languages so the whole church receives the Word together.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16

Prayer

We come before God in prayer — seeking His presence, trusting Him with our lives, and praying for one another. We lay hands on those who ask, and bring Him what we are actually carrying: health, family, work, visas. Prayer here is always by invitation, and it is the heart of what we do.

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” James 5:16

One room, every generation

Grandparents, teenagers and children worshipping God in the same room, across three languages at once. It is louder than a quiet church and gentler than a big one, and it is the truest picture of who we are.

We are not a church defined by one language or one country. We are a church defined by one Lord — and the languages are simply how the welcome is heard.
