Who we are
The New Beginning Church is a Christ-centred church in Papakura, South Auckland. We gather to worship Jesus, to sit under God's Word and to pray for one another — one family drawn from many nations.
“And he is the head of the body, the church.” Colossians 1:18

Our leaders
Pastor Vikas & Pastor Jyoti Garg
Pastor Vikas and Pastor Jyoti Garg lead the church with a heart for sharing the Good News of Jesus — reaching the younger generation, leading people to Christ, and raising faithful disciples. Together with our leadership team, they are committed to serving God and building His Kingdom.

One church, many nations
Many nations, one Lord
Some of us were born in New Zealand. Some arrived last year. Between us we carry different languages, passports and histories — and one faith in Jesus Christ.
Our services move between English, Punjabi and Hindi so that grandparents and grandchildren can worship in the same room without anyone being left out. The languages are how our welcome is heard. Christ is what makes us one.

Growing up in this church
While the adults worship, the children have their own space — taught, cared for, and given something of their own to carry home. Many of them were born here and are growing up bilingual in a faith their parents carried across an ocean.
