The congregation of The New Beginning Church gathered together after a Sunday service

Our church

A family, far from home

The New Beginning Church is an Indian Christian community in Papakura, South Auckland. We exist for anyone who has ever had to start again.

“God sets the lonely in families.” Psalm 68:6

You are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household.
Ephesians 2:19

Our leaders

Pastor Vikas & Pastor Jyoti Garg

Pastor Vikas and Pastor Jyoti Garg lead the church with a heart for sharing the Good News of Jesus — reaching the younger generation, leading people to Christ, and raising faithful disciples. Together with our leadership team, they are committed to serving God and building His Kingdom.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” Matthew 28:19

What you will find

Three languages, one family

Some of us arrived last year. Some of us were born here. Our services move between Punjabi, Hindi and English so that grandparents and grandchildren can worship in the same room without anyone being left out.

You will meet Punjabi and Kiwi families, people who have followed Christ for decades, and people who are still working out what they believe. All of them belong here.

What we believe

Plainly, this is where we stand

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s word — living, trustworthy, and the guide for how we live and what we teach.

Jesus

We believe Jesus is the Son of God, who died and rose again, and that through him anyone can come to God.

Grace

Salvation is a gift. It is not earned, deserved, or bought — and nobody has to clean themselves up first to receive it.

Prayer

We believe God hears us. We pray together for healing, for families, for work and visas and worry — and we expect him to answer.

The church

The church is not a building or a service time. It is a family, and you belong in it from the day you walk in.

Life of the church

What we do

Sunday worship

Sundays at 4:00 PM

Our main gathering — worship, prayer, and a message from the Word. Chai and fellowship afterwards; stay as long as you like.

Prayer & healing

Midweek

A quieter space to bring what is heavy — health, family, visas, work — and pray together.

Family & youth

During Sunday service

A safe, joyful space for children and young people to grow in faith while parents worship.

New migrant support

Ongoing

Practical help settling in — advice, connections, and a community that has walked the same road.

Giving

Sow into the Kingdom of God

“God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7

Everything here is carried by the people who call it home. If it is on your heart to sow into the work, you can sow online below. Visitors, please feel no obligation.

Come and meet us
