What a Sunday looks like

Nothing you need to prepare for

  1. Arrive from 3:30 PM

Come a little early if you can. Someone will say hello, and there is chai going before we start. Wear whatever you are comfortable in.

  2. Worship and the Word

Singing, prayer together, and a message from the Bible — moving between Punjabi, Hindi and English so nobody in the room is left out. Children are welcome throughout.

  3. Conversations over chai

Nobody rushes off. There is hot chai, something good to eat, and the easiest company you will find all week. Stay as long as you like — this is where strangers turn into family.

Your pastors

Led by Vikas & Jyoti

They planted this church for families arriving in a country that was not yet home. They will know your name by the second Sunday, and they would rather you came with your questions than without them.

Welcome home

You are welcome here — exactly as you are

Moving to a new country changes everything. New job, new streets, new seasons — and often, a quiet loneliness that is hard to name. The New Beginning Church exists for that moment. We are a family of Indian believers and friends in Papakura who know what it is to start again far from home.

Whether you have walked with Christ for decades, are exploring faith for the first time, or simply want to hear your own language and eat familiar food with kind people — there is a seat here with your name on it.

Life together

More than a Sunday

Faith grows best in company. Through the week our people share meals, celebrate festivals, pray for one another, and help each other navigate life in a new country — from finding work to finding a good doctor.

Message us on WhatsApp for service reminders, prayer requests and event updates. It is the easiest way to stay connected between Sundays.

The next generation

Our children have a voice

Reaching the younger generation is at the heart of why this church exists. Every week one of our children stands in front of the whole church and shares a memory verse or a prayer — and every week the room is quieter for it.

They are not the church of tomorrow kept at the back until they are old enough. They are part of the family now, with something to say that the rest of us need to hear.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Come and see

You will not be singled out, asked for money, or put on the spot. Come in, sit down, and let us look after you.
